Like Deathwing, This is Non-humanoid Model used custom animations and controller.
The preview model may seem strange to rotate, but it turns out to be normal. This is done by bringing the model back to correct for camera point errors. Because this avatar is not a humanoid model.

He has two animation controllers, one to fly in all motions, two to move forward and back, and he will walk. This is done by clicking Alduin in the scene and changing the controller to AL_SimpleAvatarController2 (default is AL_SimpleAvatarController1.)
The MMD version of the texture is missing some of its capacity issues, and the texture can be changed to AlduinAnim in the material folder. Just do not use alduin material. (In Tokami-Fuko's model, the original mmd model was deleted because there is no animation.)
The model uploaded to Sketchfab does not have a texture, but avatar have texture.
If you want to change the texture, change the material to Cutout.

@TheLakotanoid1 I added the OpenMe2 scene to his file. It uses AL_SimpleAvatarController2 to walk when he moves forward or backward.

Question: when I get in game he's always flying. i'm on a keyboard/mouse and I'm not sure how to get him to land, or change him to a grounded animation in unity (when switching the controller the animation doesn't change)

I finally got the avatar working. If you do plan on making more dragons for VRChat such as Paarthurnax, could you give them the option to be entirely groundbased rather than in flight even when they're in idle?

I admit that I did make a mistake on the shaders but I installed it. Thanks for clearing up the controller part too.However, I still can’t get the avatar in game even though Unity says I successfully uploaded it.

First of all, I'm going to talk about the first question. Have you installed the Cubed Shaders? If you install it, It should not appear purple to be. And in the second question, you can change his moving motion controller in the scene. you can change In the animator part.

You can apply animator to AL_SimpleAvatarController2, walk to the avatar testing room and walk back and forth. Keep the generic.

hey so I've been using him and I think he's awesome! How do I get him to stay in the air even when he's moving forward/backwards? I tried both controllers and it hasn't done anything. Also do I need to make him a humanoid? or keep him generic.
