I use UnityStudio.x64.v0.9.0 to extract the models as FBX.Use Noesis to open them as blender cannot read the old FBX version.Export from Noesis as dae with UVs flip.Import model from dae into blender and apply textures.
I've been taking models out from Necropolis as well. May I ask how are you getting the model to work for vrc though. The models come out as ASCII FBX so I can't use blender to fix the bones. Are you using autodesk or do you know a way to get them to work for blender?
