also, I only used standard shaders so nothing else is needed before import. it would definitely benefit from a better shader though, at the very least something double sided
Thank you! I have only seen one good one and it costs like $250 - $300 so I don't think anyone is about to share it anytime soon. If I were better with humanoids, I'd make one for sure
The polys are a little high due to the round bit around the guard. I couldnt find a way to make it look accurate but still be low in polys. Im considering remaking that part at some point.
oh you need VR to be able to activate it. I think its finger gun on your right hand and thumbs up on the left? it has been a while since I have used it, sorry!
most of the polys are in the ropey bits, they were thrown on last minute to give it a little detail. Just remove them and slide the coppery bits closer to the ends of the handle, it'll drastically lower polys.
Appreciate the pointers man, I'm still really new to all of this and I'm kinda teaching myself. I've been posting here in case people want to use the things I manage to put together. I'm always trying to learn different ways to do things but I'll take what you said on board and try to continue to learn. I didnt upload it as part of a model and tagged it as an incomplete, not ready for VRChat item for this exact reason.
Just as a PSA, the ribbon is for display purposes only. if you wanted one, it wouldnt be too difficult to find a rigged object and attach it. I just loved the way it looked during the render so I left it on as an example
