So I manually put the materials onto the ones you said to put it on and it still is by default a white star with a pink eye with no pupil.

You might have to manually apply the materials. The only materials that you will need to apply are the ones named body, eye, pupil, and outline. You will have to apply these materials directly to the mesh components.

I got the shaders but it still comes out as pure white with a texture-less pink eye when I open the unity scene.
